Gloucestershire Partnership goes International

18.06.09   Andre Bovington, the Partnership’s Skills for Life Manager recently returned from a 5-day job shadowing stint in Sweden. Andre, who applied for a Comenius Job Shadowing grant from the European Union’s Lifelong Learning Programme, travelled to the City of Vasteras, about 100km west of Stockholm to learn how the City authorities deliver traffic education and training and engineering schemes for the safety and sustainable benefit of pedestrians, cyclists and moped users.

He said, “As Sweden has one of the lowest road casualty problems in the world, I was eager to learn more about how they do things over there. I had a fantastic time meeting many professionals in their field who were very patient with my appalling Swedish!”
