Primary Reception

Primary reception child
4 – 5 year olds
Key facts:

Children of this age are not aware of the dangers of the road and should not be allowed out on their own.

Walking is good for your child’s health and walking with them near roads will help them understand the dangers.

Key facts:

In any car crash, a loose child will be thrown about inside the vehicle, injuring themselves and others.

Action points:

Walk with your child, always hold hands and set a good example.

Talk to them about walking along and crossing the road.

In the car, always strap them in properly and drive safely.
