Cycle with your child and talk to them about the risks and solutions to safely cycling on-road.Enrol your child on a cycle training course, ask about courses at their school.
 

Action points:Make sure your child has developed safe road crossing skills before allowing them to walk to school on their own.Always strap them in the car properly and drive safely.
