Primary Year Three

Year 3 pupil
7-8 year olds
Key facts:
Junior-aged children are most at risk when they’re walking or cycling away from grown-ups and when travelling in cars.   Children under 135cms and under 12 years old must, by law, use an appropriate child car seat.  Children from this age onwards may resist holding hands.
Action points:
Walk with your child and set a good example.  Talk about what you can see, what things are and what to do.Gradually, let your child take the lead, showing you where to stand, what to do and when to cross.
Action points:

In the car, always use the right car seat for the size and weight of your child (either a Booster Seat or a Booster Cushion).
