Key facts: Young people are at greater risk than any of the previous age groups, when using the road. In any car crash, an unrestrained person will be thrown about inside the vehicle, injuring themselves and others.

Action point: Practise their first journey to secondary school by walking or cycling with them. Talk to them about the risks and encourage them to cross the road and cycle safely, and to always wear a seat belt. |
Action point:
For those driving cars or riding mopeds, support them in getting the most out of their lessons and additional training, especially for moped/motorcycle users. Finally, encourage them always to make the right choices for themselves and for the sake of their friends. |
