Drive for Life event at Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School, Wotton-under-Edge
Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School (KLB) is to host its second Drive for Life event this Wednesday. A similar event two years ago had such good feedback from the students that the school wanted to host another one for all 300 of their current sixth-formers.
The Drive for Life events are multi-agency drawing on the resources of Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership (Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service, Gloucestershire Constabulary and Gloucestershire County Council) and the South Western Ambulance Service.
The event is supported by other private-sector and voluntary-sector agencies and the students will experience an exciting day of hard-hitting talks, hands-on workshops and driving related displays.
The aim of the event is to make students aware of their vulnerability as new drivers and passengers of novice drivers but to show the students how to cope with their responsibility and to become great road users for the future.
